A female constable attached to the Bengaluru battalion named Archana decided to breast-feed a newborn abandoned baby boy while other officers hovered outside waiting for the starving baby to cry out and assure them he was fine.

"She fed the baby for half an hour, and then the baby let out a big cry. The body was shaking -- hands and legs. Everybody got so happy," Nagesh R, the police official who found the baby was quoted as saying by the CNN.

The cops also went ahead and named the boy Kumaraswamy after the newly sworn in Chief Minister of the state.
