Youth slits throat of 5-year-old cousin after she resisted rape

The Jamshedpur police have reportedly arrested a youth on the charges of killing his 5-year-old cousin following an attempt to rape her in Jamshedpur on April 4. The 19-year-old man allegedly tried to rape the girl and when she tried to resist, he slit her throat and dumped her body in an abandoned area. The youth was taken into custody after an investigation and the discovery of the body.
