However, one rule, prohibited to wear chappals while riding a bike, is not new. But it is quite new to us. Apparently, as per the rule, riders cannot weat Hawaii chappal, flipflops or slippers while riding bikes with gears.
It is because such footwear can cause difficulty in changing gears and can cause loss of friction causing to slip.
Violating this rule might cost one Rs 1000 challan and doing it subsequently might attract 15 days jail term.
