Yet another medico-student suicide at this college

Days after PG medical student B Shilpa's suicide, yet another student from Sri Venkateswara Medical College in Tirupati committed suicide. An MBBS second-year student was found hanging to death on Sunday.

Shilpa committed suicide months after allegations of sexual harassment from her faculty member. However, it was confirmed that P Geethika hanged herself due to personal reasons. Geethika went inside her room on Sunday after 2 pm in the pretext of studying. After she did not appear for more than three hours, her mother went inside and found her daughter hanging to death.

According to reports, Geethika married Sudhir Reddy against her parent's wishes a year ago. However, her parents brought her back home forcibly recently, following which she committed suicide.
