According to reports, women who appeared for a competitive exam in Bihar's Muzaffarpur district were shocked when invigilators snipped off the sleeves of their dresses in "full public view" as a disciplinary measure.

A video went viral on social media, in which the invigilators were seen snipping off the sleeves. The female candidates were apparently advised not to wear full-length sleeves while appearing for the exam. However, few students failed to adhere the norm. The students were enrolled for the nursing entrance exam of Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board or BCECEB.
