Woman Raped While Taking A Holy Dip In Ganga; Accused Upload Video On Social Media

A shocking case of sexual assault has made headlines from the state of Bihar. A woman was allegedly raped by 2 men, who saw her taking a dip in the holy river Ganges.

According to a report in OneIndia, the two men dragged the woman out of the river and took turns to rape her. The men even shot pictures and videos of the act, and threatened to leak them on social media if she spoke about this to anyone, said police.

The 2 accused, identified as Shivpujan Mahto and Vishal, have been arrested by the police.

The accused have also leaked the video of the incident on social media. In the video, the woman was seen pleading with the men, asking them to consider the "sanctity" of the river Ganga. However, the accused did not budge and continued to threaten her.The video has now gone viral after being shared multiple times through WhatsApp.

The woman did not file a complaint with the police. They swung into action when they came across the video of the crime.
