A week after a case of poisoning in Maharashtra, the accused has finally been arrested by the police. Subhas Mane had hosted a feast on his housewarming ceremony on Monday after which five died and 88 hospitalised.
Reportedly, the deed was done by Mane's relative, 23-year-old Pradnya Survase. She alleged that she wanted to kill her relatives as they tortured her for her dark complexion and her inability to cook.
Survase decided to murder her in-laws and husband for the torture she went through. She spiked dal during the feast with poison used to kill snakes. However, her targets already finished eating before the poisoned food was served to them. The victims of her poisoning include four children and an adult.
