Woman given triple talaq for giving birth to girl

A man from Shamli, Uttar Pradesh, is alleged to have given triple talaq to his wife after finding out that she gave birth to a baby girl. The woman and the baby (in pic) are reportedly homeless and waiting for police action for about a week now. 
 

The man threw out his wife immediately after giving her talaq and had even gone as far as asking her to give a dowry of Rs 50,000 and a bike to be taken back. 

Sources from the police department said that a case has been registered and further investigations are on.
