A report by the Congressional Research Service (CRS) of the US Congress says that a whopping 93% of approved applications for H-4 employment authorisation were issued to Indians. It is 5% for people born in China, while the rest 2% were issued to Individuals born in all other countries combined, the CRS report said.
The report further said, 93% of granted applications for employment authorisation were issued to women, while 7% were issued to men. It also added that California has over one-fifth of the H-4 visa holders with work authorisation as its residents. During the period since May 2015, when the rule was implemented, to December 25, 2017, US Citizenship and Immigration Services approved 126,853 applications for employment authorisation for H-4 visa holders.
