42-hour train took 4 years to reach destination, here is why
Home > India newsA train carrying a cargo of fertilisers from Vishakapatnam to Uttar Pradesh took four years to complete its journey. The train which was supposed to complete its journey in 42 hours, surprisingly took four years.
The goods train was carrying 1,316 bags of Diammonium Phosphate fertilisers. The train left Vizag on November 10, 2014, and finally reached the Basti station in UP this Wednesday. Reportedly, even the railway officials were left in shock.
The goods were booked under Ramchandra Gupta, a businessman in Basti. Gupta reportedly said, It was company material and I had not paid for it. The matter is between the company and the Indian Railways."
