Dead lizard found in biryani, eatery served notice

A restaurant in Vijayawada has been served notice by food regulator FSSAI after a customer found a dead lizard in biryani that was served to him. "We sent the biryani samples with the lizard to the lab for testing," FSSAI official N Purnachandra Rao was quoted as saying. A case has been registered against the restaurant for not keeping kitchen premises hygienic and flouting FSSAI norms, Rao further added.
