A portion of an under-construction flyover collapsed near Cantt railway station in Varanasi on Tuesday, killing 12 people while around 50 are suspected to be trapped.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has offered his condolences, while Uttar Pradesh government is monitoring the situation.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has set up a three-member committee to probe the incident.
