Special trip
Ananya Dwivedi shares an interesting incident in her life on the popular social networking site LinkedIn. Ananya, who had stepped out for her work, booked a car via Uber and was waiting for it.
Uber India CEO Prabhjeet Singh showed up as the driver of the cab. Even though Singh introduced himself, Ananya was doubtful about it and a Google search revealed that he was indeed the CEO of Uber India.
Ananya wrote in her post, "One of the best advices I've ever read on the internet is what Sahil Bloom says- 'increase your luck surface area'. Luck doesn't strike you while sitting at home, alone. Step out, meet people, expose yourself to information- it all adds up and increases the chances to be at a place where luck strikes! I literally stepped out after a long time to work from office and guess who was driving the car, Prabhjeet Singh, Uber India CEO. It was a part of his primary research. (I initially felt something is fishy and had to Google his name and match the face to finally believe him) The serendipity is real! Also, it takes real humility as well as grit to get to the roots of the problems like this. Full respect!"
Not the first time
This is not the first time Prabhjeet Singh has surprised his customers like this. A woman named Madhuvanthi has already reported that a similar incident had taken place in her life.
Madhuvanthi wrote in the post, "I had booked an Uber to go out. My Uber driver mentioned that he was coming right away. He did not even ask where I was going. I was surprised. Then the car came in front of me and he got down and said,"Hi Madhuvanthi, I am the CEO of Uber India and you are my first passenger today. Would you be willing to do this ride?".
