Two Terrorists, One Army Jawan Killed In Encounter: On Spot Pictures!

An Army jawan was martyred and two terrorists were killed in an encounter between security forces and terrorists at the Bijbehara area in the Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday morning.

According to NDTV reports, the police said one more terrorist is believed to be still hiding inside a building in the area. All of them are suspected to be terrorists of the Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM). In this pre-dawn attack, the second encounter in less than 24 hours in the area, the security forces launched a cordon and search operation based on credible inputs.

The exchange of fire was going on when last reports came in.

This encounter comes a day after, an Army vehicle was targeted with an improvised explosive device in Pulwama, where a convoy of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) was attacked by a suicide bomber of the JeM in February. Six soldiers and two civilians were injured in the attack on Monday.

On Monday, an Army Major was killed and three soldiers were injured in another encounter with terrorists in Anantnag.
