Police on Sunday reportedly said that two men from Tamil Nadu drowned at two beaches in Goa while clicking selfies. The deceased have been identified as Dinesh Kumar Ranganathan (28) and Sasikumar Vasan (33). The bodies have been recovered and sent for postmortem.
Dinesh was clicking a selfie along with two others at Baga beach in North Goa on Sunday when a heavy wave pulled all of them into the sea, police said. While the two others managed to escape, Dinesh, a native of Vellore, drowned. His body was later recovered.
In the other incident at Sinquerim beach, Sasikumar drowned after a wave pulled him into the sea. Police said that postmortem have been conducted in both the cases and the bodies will be handed to their families.
