According to reports, four elephants were killed in Odisha’s Jharsuguda district in the wee hours on Monday after a speeding train ran over them. Reports suggest that the incident happened around 3.30 am when a herd of elephants crossed the railway line. Forest officials reportedly said that the railway authorities were duly informed to ensure that trains reduce their speeds while crossing the section near Bagdihi railway station.
