This continuous rain and flood has killed nearly 30 people so far. Not just the common people but animals at the Kaziranga National Park are suffering majorly due to the devastating floods in Assam.
The flood has increased so much that a tiger escaped from the sanctuary and was spotted sitting on a bed inside a house. The photos of the tiger was caught on camera and it went viral on social media.
According to India Today reports, the Wildlife Trust India took to their official handle and alerted people across the state about the tiger's escape and also shared pictures. In a series of tweets, veterinarian Dr Samshul Ali has been busy formulating a plan with the Assam Forest Department to tranquilise the tiger that "has entered a house and is relaxing on a bed".
In the picture, the tiger is seen lying on the bed. While in other tweets, Wildlife Trust India said that the tiger was spotted near the highway, some 200 m from the park at 8:30 am on Friday as it escaped from Kaziranga.
"Probably disturbed, he jumped across the wall of a scrap garage & took refuge in the dark room," an excerpt from the tweet read.
