Police arrested three men who chased the cavalcade of Anupriya Patel, minister of state for health and family welfare, and hurled ‘dirty comments’. The incident took place on Monday night between Orai and Varanasi. Patel was returning to the capital of Uttar Pradesh after attending public programmes in Mirzapur district on Sunday.
The three men misbehaved with the security personnel despite their warning and also hurled indecent comments at the minister. They disappeared soon and reappeared to continued to chase the minister’s vehicle.
Soon, Patel informed Varanasi police and senior officials about the incident. Police set up roadblocks on the route and nabbed the three men. Their car has been confiscated.
