After losing more than a dozen of people to the deadly Nipah virus, the Kerala government has now recommended using Ribavarin, an antiviral vaccine as a life-saving measure. Though it is not a proven solution, few studies have proved the vaccine’s benefits for Nipah.
To keep yourself safe, experts suggest you maintain clean habits and avoid consuming fruits that have any paw marks on it or is contaminated. They even suggest not to have any fruit juice from outside shops. Food should be thoroughly cooked before consuming.
