Two women faced the heat after cutting a cake inside a temple in Ujjain. The women were celebrating, following which the district administration issued them a show cause notice. They will have to appear before the court of law on May 25 to explain their conduct and will also have to furnish a personal bond of Rs 1 lakh.
The temple also banned the women from entering the temple. One of the women clarified that they were celebrating the wedding anniversary of the other women and cut only an eggless cake.
The woman said, "Nowhere in the temple it was written that cutting the cake was prohibited. None of the security personnel stopped them from doing so. How could such a simple act disturb the peace and order on the temple premises."
