Home > News Shots > India newsActor Sushant Singh Rajput’s father K K Singh reportedly told the police on Tuesday that his son was feeling “low” but they were unaware about the reason why his son was depressed.
The police have recorded statements of the actor’s father and two sisters before they flew to Delhi on Tuesday. “The family informed us that they do not know why Sushant was depressed and also did not mention if they had any suspicion on anyone,” a senior Mumbai Police official told The New Indian Express.
The actor died by suicide on Sunday. Preliminary post-mortem released by Cooper Hospital has cited cause of the death to be asphyxia due to hanging. The police have recorded statements from nine people close to the actor, including his family members, cook, caretakers and managers.
The police official told the media that nothing has indicated foul play so far. The Police was also in talks with Siddhart Pithani, the late actor’s creative manager in order to understand his financial status, business dealings and profile in the film industry
“We had recorded the preliminary statement of the creative manager on Sunday and have called him once more,” the official said.
Following state Home Minister Anil Deshmukh’s tweet on Monday, the official also stated that the police might speak to Rajput’s friend Mahesh Shetty once more to understand whether “professional rivalry” was the reason behind Sushant’s depression.
