As a response, BJP leader Subramanian Swamy tweeted "Moron Kamalahasan and DMK Chief Stalin are howling about imposition of Hindi. What about their imposition that no Hindi will be taught in TN? Let Hindi be an optional third language and the choice on which language to opt left to the student" calling the MNM Party chief a moron. The word moron is defined as "a stupid person" in Oxford dictionary.

The words "more on" and "moron" sound similar when said fast. Kamal Hassan played it well and trolled Subramanian Swamy for his remark.
