Stepfather slashes girl's hand for resisting rape

An 18-year-old girl was attacked with a blade on Saturday in Noida by her stepfather for resisting rape. The accused reportedly lured the girl into a room and tried to rape her. When she resisted, he used a blade and cut her hand. The girl managed to run away and was admitted to the hospital.

The victim reportedly said, "He touched me inappropriately and then tried to rape me. I objected to his advances and tried to resist. He gagged my mouth and tore off my clothes. When I raised an alarm to free myself, he slashed a blade on my right hand."

According to reports, the girl's biological father died 10 years ago and her mother married again. The accused was nabbed by the police on Sunday morning.
