"Interview Done...Job Letter Sent" Young Actor Helps Techie Who Sells Vegetables After Losing Job
Home > News Shots > India newsDue to economical crisis, a 26-year-old woman from Hyderabad lost her job and has been selling vegetables to help her family and herself.
Ever since the lockdown has taken place, thousands of people are losing their jobs around the country. Also, a report by CNBC TV18 states that at least 86 percent Indians fear that they will lose their jobs during the pandemic this year.
Coming back to the inspiring story, the woman identified as Unadadi Sharada was working in an MNC when she lost her job during the COVID-19 crisis. Sharada's company could no longer pay her salary and they could not find a project for her to work on either.
So, rather than sitting at home and thinking what to do to make ends meet, Sharada started selling vegetables at the local market. As per Times of India (ToI) report, she wakes up at 4:00 am every day, goes to the wholesale market to get vegetables, and then sells them at the market to help her family.
When she was asked about her big step, Sharada said that there is no shame in selling vegetables, since this is an honest day's work.
Days later, Sharada's inspiring story went viral on social media, and somehow it reached actor Sonu Sood. He has been going all out to help migrant workers and anyone who needs help during the pandemic.
A Twitter user named Ritchie Shelson tagged Sonu Sood and asked him to help the techie. Hours later, the actor responded saying he had already reached out to her, interviewed her and offered her a job.
Sonu Sood's reply has gone viral on social media and has also been receiving more than 43,700 likes and over 6,200 retweets so far. Netizens praised the actor for his efforts to help people during theses hard times.
