School principal and 3 others arrested for setting up camera in girls' bathroom

According to reports, a school principal, her brother and two teachers were arrested after videos of girl students in the school bathroom went viral on social media. The incident was brought to light after many parents and students came outside the school in Maharajganj, Uttar Pradesh and protested.

After an investigation, it was found that a camera was set up inside the bathroom five-six months by the principal's brother. Two other teachers who found out about the camera released the videos on social media. However, the principal alleged that she knew nothing about the incident.

The four have been arrested under various acts of the IT Act and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
