Troubled By Rumours Of Love Affair, Sadhu Cuts Off His Own Genitals

In a rather bizarre incident, a self-styled godman in Uttar Pradesh allegedly cut off his own genitals after several people accused him of having an affair with a woman.

The man, identified as Madani Baba, has now been admitted to a hospital. The 28-year-old Sadhu claimed that the allegations made were a part of a conspiracy by a group who were against the Sadhu building an ashram on an empty land.

The sadhu further alleged that the group of people had tarnished his image after rumours of him having an affair with a woman from the neighbourhood surfaced.

Speaking to ANI, district hospital officer Balveer Singh said that the sadhu was a resident of a nearby village and was undergoing treatment. The district police have also launched an investigation into the matter.
