Pregnant lady strip-searched at airport to confirm pregnancy

A pregnant woman was allegedly strip-searched by Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) lady personnel at the Guwahati Airport on Sunday to allegedly confirm her pregnancy. The woman's husband claimed that the CISF personnel pressed his 25-week pregnant wife's abdomen to verify pregnancy instead of getting a medical professional for examination. The CISF has apparently transferred the staffer who did the checking from screening duty.
