Policeman Carries Pregnant Woman To Hospital After Ambulance Fails To Reach On Time

In a heart-warming incident being reported from Uttar Pradesh, a police officer carried a pregnant woman in his arms to the hospital. The officer carried the woman to a district hospital in Mathura after the ambulance failed to reach on time.


Sonu Kumar was present at the Mathura Cantt Railway Station when he witnessed some commotion in the area. Upon inquiry, he saw a woman undergoing labour pain at the station. Kumar immediately rushed to help the woman and called an ambulance. However, even after hours of waiting, the ambulance failed on reach the station.


Kumar then decided to take the woman to a nearby hospital. Upon reaching the hospital, he was told that the woman needs to be admitted. He request a stretcher, but to his surprise, even that was unavailable.


Seeing the woman in pain, he decided to carry her to the district hospital in his arms.

 

“I saw the woman was in pain and her husband was asking people for help. I called for the ambulance, but it wasn’t available. So I took her to the hospital where she gave birth to a baby,” said Kumar.


The woman delivered a baby boy in the hospital. The woman, Bhavana, and her husband Mahesh, thanked the police officer for help, and saving the lives of both mother and child.
