Outrageous! Policewoman attacked with acid

Men threw acid on woman police constable after she refused to marry one of the accused. According to NDTV, the incident took place around 4.30 am in Uttar Pradesh's Damodarpura village which comes under the jurisdiction of Sadar police station, the police said.

As she was going home after duty, the horrifying incident took place. After hearing her cries for help, locals took her to the hospital.

The victim has reportedly received 40 percent burn injuries in the attack and is being treated at a private hospital in Agra. According to the reports on Mirror Now, the police officials have been able to identify the accused who were waiting for her near her house and fled after throwing acid on her.

It's terrifying that a policewoman, stationed to help and protect other citizens, has been attacked.
