After Actress Rhea Chakraborty, Sanjana Sanghi Questioned for 7 Hours by Police!

Mumbai Police recently recorded the statement of the Actor’s co- star from his last movie “Dil Bechara”, Sanjana Sanghi. The film is set to release on July 24. As per media reports, the actress was interrogated for seven hours.

Following hers, Police will be recording the statement of filmmaker Shekar Kapur. His statement is crucial for the case since it is expected to give a clearer picture about the actor’s life in the film industry. Moreover, he was to direct the ambitious project “Paani” for Yash Raj Films (YRF). “According to contract, Sushant's third film with YRF was to be Shekhar Kapur's "Paani" but the film reportedly ran into rough weather after Kapur had differences with the production house,” CNN News 18 cited in its report. Police is also likely to be probing more into the actor’s ties with YRF which would enable them to confirm or clear the speculations.

Moreover, the director tweeted a strong opinion hinting that others in the industry might have not favoured Sushant in the past.

"I knew the pain you were going through. I knew the story of the people that let you down so bad that you would weep on my shoulder. I wish I was around the last 6 months. I wish you had reached out to me. What happened to you was their Karma. Not yours," Kapur had tweeted.

Mumbai Police also met the late actor's sister Meetu and her husband, and the late actor's friend, actor Mahesh Shetty on Tuesday.

Actor Sushant Singh Rajput who is known for his exemplary performance in ‘MS Dhoni: The Untold Story’ and ‘Kai Po Che’ among other films, died by suicide at his Bandra residence in Mumbai on June 14.
