An official at the Ministry of External Affairs reportedly said that PM Modi will visit Indonesia and Singapore from May 29 to June 2 to hold bilateral talks. While the PM is expected to hold talks with the leaders of the two countries on key matters including defence sector, it is also likely that several key agreements will be signed during the visit.

PM Modi will deliver the keynote address at the Shangri-La Dialogue in Singapore on June 1, Secretary East Preeti Saran reportedly said, adding that this is the first time that an Indian PM has been invited to deliver the keynote address.

Earlier on Thursday, Congress President Rahul Gandhi urged the PM to take actions to reduce the fuel prices. Rahul warned PM of a nationwide agitation by Congress if he fails to reduce fuel prices. Senior Congress leader Abhishek Manu Singhvi also questioned PM Modi's silence over the killings in police firing in Thoothukudi.
