According to the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC)'s website, the petrol and diesel prices in cities across the country remained mostly unchanged on Monday. Petrol prices in metro cities Delhi, Chennai and Kolkata remained Rs 75.55 per litre, Rs 78.40 per litre and Rs 78.23 per litre respectively.
The prices in these metro cities are the same as they were on Sunday. However, in Mumbai, the petrol price has been reduced by 5 paise and stands at Rs 82.94 per litre.
The oil marketing companies also kept the prices of diesel unchanged in these cities. In Delhi, diesel costs Rs 67.38 per litre, while it is Rs 71.49 per litre in Mumbai. The prices remained at Rs 69.93 per litre and Rs 71.12 per litre in Kolkata and Chennai respectively.
