The prices of petrol and diesel have been slashed on Thursday across metro cities in the range of 11-14 paise. While Delhi and Kolkata witnessed a cut in petrol prices by 11 paise, Mumbai and Chennai saw a price cut of 14 and 12 paise respectively. In Chennai, petrol is sold at Rs 79.04 per litre.
Similarly, diesel prices have been cut in the range of 10-14 paise in metro cities. In Mumbai, the diesel price was slashed by 14 paise, while it came down by 10 paise in Delhi, Kolkata and Chennai.
The petrol prices in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai stands at Rs 76.16, Rs 83.92, Rs 78.83 and Rs 79.04 per litre respectively. The diesel prices in these cities are Rs 67.68, Rs 71.99, Rs 70.23 and Rs 71.44 respectively.
