Petrol, diesel prices hiked
Home > India newsThe oil marketing companies have raised the prices of petrol and diesel on Monday. According to the Indian Oil Corporation, the petrol prices in all the four metro cities - Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai - have increased by 9 paise each.
In Chennai, petrol is sold at Rs 79.20 per litre. In New Delhi and Kolkata, one litre of petrol is priced at Rs 76.25 and Rs 79.14 respectively. Petrol also costs Rs 83.70 per litre in Mumbai. The fuel prices had remained unchanged on Sunday.
The diesel prices have been increased in the range of 13-14 paise in the metro cities. While in Delhi the diesel price has been raised by 13 paise, it has been hiked by 14 paise in the other three cities.
The diesel costs Rs 71.55 per litre in Chennai. One litre of diesel is priced at Rs 67.75 and Rs 70.51 per litre in Delhi and Kolkata. In Mumbai, people buy diesel for Rs 71.93 per litre.
