The fuel prices have been increased in metro cities on Thursday after 36 days. The hike in the prices of petrol varied in the range of 16 to 17 paise in metro cities, while diesel prices raised in the range of 10-12 paise.


The revised petrol prices now stand at Rs 75.71 in Delhi and Rs 83.10 in Mumbai. In Chennai and Kolkata, petrol costs Rs 78.57 and Rs 78.39 per litre respectively.


Diesel in Delhi costs Rs 67.50 per litre in Delhi and Rs 71.62 in Mumbai. Following the price revision, Chennaites will now pay Rs 71.24 per litre and In Kolkata, diesel is sold for Rs 70.05.


In the last 36 days, petrol price saw 22 cuts, while diesel price was slashed 18 times.
