Fuel prices saw a cut for the sixth day in a row on Tuesday across cities in India. Petrol prices have been slashed by up to 14 paise in Delhi and Kolkata, 18 paise in Mumbai and 15 paise in Chennai. After the price cut, the petrol prices now stand at Rs 75.55, Rs 78.23, Rs 83.12 and Rs 78.40 in Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai respectively.


Similarly, diesel prices were also cut on Tuesday bringing the prices down in all cities. Delhi, Chennai and Kolkata saw a cut of diesel price by 10 paise, while the price has been reduced by 12 paise in Mumbai. As on Tuesday,  the diesel is priced at Rs 67.38 in Delhi, Rs 69.93 in Kolkata, Rs 71.52 in Mumbai and Rs 71.12 in Chennai.


The petrol and diesel prices hit a record high of Rs 78.43 and Rs 69.31 on May 29. However, the prices are being cut regularly since May 30.
