PETA opposes popular ad, urges them to stop

PETA India has reportedly urged telecom company Vodafone to stop using the breed pug in their advertisements stating the reason that 'they are not normal dogs.' PETA reportedly wrote a letter to Vodafone CEO and claimed that the popularity the breed has gained in India after the ads are huge but people are unaware that they are genetically compromised breeds that find it hard to cope with India's climate and face several breathing issues which cause them pain.

"I'm writing to you on behalf of our more than 10 lakh members and supporters to urge you to stop using pugs in your advertising," PETA CEO said in the letter.
