The man identified as Ramhar Lohan, 59, was admitted in the hospital as he had dislocated his shoulder while driving a two wheeler for which the doctors advised him a MRI scan.

The patient, Lohan visited the Panchkula civil hospital for the MRI scan on September 22.

According to India Today reports, the staff at the hospital told him that he will remain inside the machine for 10 to 15 minutes for the scan. "I was advised MRI scan by Dr Lalit Kaushal. The staff which was conducting my MRI scan had told me that it will take only 10 to 15 minutes. But when they did not remove me for more than 30 minutes I started crying. Nobody responded," Lohan told India Today TV.

"Nobody was in the machine room when I was struggling to come out. The machine was overheating and I was feeling suffocated. I tried to release myself but I was tied to the machine with belts. When I noticed that if I did not come out of the machine I may die, so I made my last attempt and broke the belt," Lohan added.

Meanwhile, Amit Khokhar, the incharge of MRI Centre, denied the allegations stating that the patient was advised for a 20 minute scan.

The patient has also filed a police complaint demanding strict action into the matter. He asked for CCTV footage, where the scan took place and the whole drama occurred.
