ICU Patient Complaints 'Gang Rape' by Ward boys!

A teenage girl from Chhattisgarh's Bilaspur district was admitted at an ICU of a private nursing home in the area. The state police were shocked when they found a hand- written note that alleged that she was gangraped by ward boys of the hospital. 

The 18-year-old girl was admitted to Bilaspur Hospital on May 18. Reportedly, her health condition deteriorated after intaking few medicines that caused an allergy. The victim’s family told the police that the girl couldn’t speak due to her medical condition, she gestured for a pen and paper and conveyed that she was allegedly raped by the ward boys inside the ICU. 

As per media reports, initially the police refused to take the matter seriously. They filed a rape case only after the case was published by media organizations and subsequently reached the hospital to investigate the case. 

According to Zee News, the victim’s father approached the Civil Line police station in Bilaspur and filed a complaint under section 376 of the IPC. The state Health Minister TS Singh Dev has formed a high- level committee to investigate the matter. 

The girl has been shifted to Apollo Hospital.
