Parents Kill 20-Year-Old Pregnant Daughter; Police Reveal Shocking Details!

Her parents took this drastic step after they got to know that she was pregnant with her boyfriend’s baby. The deceased identified as T. Divya was pursuing her Bachelor’s course in Kurnool. She fell in love with a man who did not belong to her caste.
Recently, after returning home due to the lockdown she started falling ill and exhibited symptoms of pregnancy. Her worried parents took her to the doctor and got her tested. After confirming the pregnancy reports, her parents forced her to abort the baby.
Despite their efforts, she stood her ground and wanted to marry her boyfriend. While speaking to Indian Express, Shanti Nagar CI J Venkateshwarlu said Divya was the youngest daughter among accused Bhaskaraiah Shetty’s three daughters.
Ever since they (parents) got to know that Divya was pregnant, they kept her locked inside a room, fearing that she would run away with her boyfriend. Worried and angry over his daughter's decision, Bhaskaraiah and his wife smothered her with a pillow while she was asleep.
The following day, the parents told relatives that she died of an illness, while the rest of the family thought she had died of an ailment. Amid all the caox and crying, the panchayat secretary of the village, who got suspicious over the matter, rushed to the police and lodged a complaint.
After the police came into action, they shifted Divya’ body for post-mortem examination to Alampur Government Hospital on Sunday. There it was found that she was suffocated to death. Also, during interrogation, Divya’s parents confessed to their daughter’s murder.
