"Abused, Beaten and Illegally Locked Up," Says FIR against Nithyananda Women Ashram Managers
Home > News Shots > India newsControversies and Niithyananda come together in recent years involving allegations such as sexual abuse, brainwashing young girls, mental torture etc. In a recent report, 3 children were rescued by the police from the Nithyananda Hirapur Ashram in the outskirts of Ahmedabad city and united them with their parents.
Reportedly the police conducted a raid and arrested two Nithyananda Women Ashram Managers (Pranpriya and Priyatattva) for allegedly abusing the children. A case has been filed against the two and an FIR was filed. The following are the statements registered in the FIR as per the News Minute report.
"They (Children) were verbally abused horribly, they were beaten. In order to make sure that the person who gave the complaint does not meet the children, they were kidnapped and illegally locked up at a house in Pushpak city for two weeks. The accused conspired to kidnap and the children were threatened that they will be killed"
The raid was conducted after the complaint registered by a person named Janardhanan Sharma at the Gujarat State Commission for the Protection of Child Rights (GSCPCR). Sharma is a former disciple of Nithyananda and registered a complaint to rescue 4 of his children including 2 daughters. Though his children were brainwashed by the Ashram people and refused to come back, the police rescued 3 other children.
