New Twist in Sushant's Case: Narcotics Bureau makes a MAJOR Move against Rhea Chakraborty! Details
Home > News Shots > India newsThe Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has announced that it will be registering a criminal case against Rhea Chakraborty and others for allegedly dealing with banned drugs. This comes a day after the Enforcement Directorate (ED) communicated with the NCB urging them to probe Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case from the drug angle.
According to official statement, the complaint cites how various sections of the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS) has been violated in the case.
“The alleged narcotics dealing links are connected to the criminal probe being conducted in the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, 34, who was found hanging at his duplex flat in Mumbai's Bandra area on June 14. The NCB is now the third federal investigative agency probing this case apart from the ED and the CBI,” CNN News 18 reported.
ED has obtained these deleted WhatsApp messages while probing the case from a money laundering angle.
CNN News 18 cited official sources who mentioned that the ED questioned Rhea since they suspected drug deals and her statement regarding the issue has been recorded under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).
However, Satish Maneshinde has opposed all these allegations and stated, “Rhea has never consumed drugs in her life ever. She is ready for a blood test," Maneshinde had said.
