Mumbai: Young inter-faith couple found dead in car

An inter-faith couple was found dead inside a car which was parked outside the Mulund metropolitan magistrate’s court on Wednesday, say reports. Salman Afroz Khan (26) and Manisha Narayan Negi (21) reportedly went missing four days ago after their parents refused to accept their relationship.

Police suspect it to be a case of suicide as they recovered two bottles of suspected poison from the car. Police said they received a call around 3.30 am about a car parked in the middle of the road near the court. A team went to the spot to find that the car was locked from inside and the engine was running.

They broke the rear window of the car and rushed the unconscious couple to a hospital where they were declared brought dead. Salman was involved in garments business, while Manisha was working as a salesgirl in a mall. Police have launched an investigation into the matter.
