Sex workers try to escape police raid; slip to death

Two sex workers in Mumbai, fearing police raids, jumped to death from the third floor of an apartment on Tuesday. Police who were patrolling the area looking to nab those engaged in sex work, took them to a hospital, where they succumbed to their injuries.

One of the women is said to be in her 30s while the other one was about 50 years of age. A case of accidental death has been registered and further investigation is on.
