As Mumbai witnessed heavy showers in the early morning on Monday, an under-construction building in Wadala East’s Antop Hill collapsed. Fortunately, no one was hurt in the incident, say reports. However, around 15 cars were damaged after a portion of the building caved in.
The building crashed on the 32-floor Lloyd’s Estate and the approach road leading to the basement of Lloyd’s collapsed. Residents of Lloyd’s Estate said that they complained to the authorities after the building has developed several cracks, adding that no action was taken.
According to reports, a case has been registered against Dosti builders in connection with the matter. Meanwhile, the fire brigade was present at the site for rescue works.
