Man Sleeps with 'Wife's Dead body' after Killing and Dumping her Under Bed! - Report

A Bhopal man killed his wife and contained her body in a wooden storage box, under the bed. He slept over it for two days before he was arrested on Monday.

The deceased, Arti Ahirwar (32) was a resident of Bhagat Singh ward in Sagar city. Her body was recovered on Monday and her husband Sher Singh Ahirwar was arrested by the police. The couple had a son, who is 10-years-old now.

“Some neighbours of Sher Singh Ahirwar informed the police that he had borrowed axe from his neighbourhood and was talking of some murder in an intoxicated state. When a police team reached his house in the early hours of Monday there was a foul smell coming from his house and the body of his wife was recovered from a wooden box used for storage beneath the bed over which the accused slept,” said Motinagar police station in charge Satish Singh said.

The police force has revealed that Sher Singh had a drinking problem and that he got violent with his wife under intoxication. Due to certain recent disputes, the deceased and her son were living at the deceased’s parents’ house. She had returned to her husband, alone on Friday, the police added. On the same day, she was murdered.

“The accused confessed to have committed the crime two days back. He strangled his wife to death over some domestic feud,” a police officer revealed.

Charges have been filed and the accused will be presented at court. The woman’s body was handed over to her parents.
