Govt Announces Fresh Guidelines for Air Travel - Details
Home > News Shots > India newsThe Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Sunday, 24 May, released the guidelines for domestic travel including air, train and inter-State bus travel.
As per the guidelines, the States and UTs should ensure that all passengers undergo thermal screening at the point of departure. Only asymptomatic persons will be allowed to borad the flight/train/bus.
Passengers should be screened at the exit point too. Asymptomatic ones will be permitted to go with the advice that they should self-monitor their health for 14 days. In case, if they develop any symptom, they should inform the district surveillance officer or the State or National call centre (1075).
Symptomatic passengers will be isolated and taken to the nearest health facility. They will be assessed for clinical severity at the health facility. Those having moderate or severe symptoms will be admitted to dedicated COVID-19 health facilities.
Those having mild symptoms will be given the option of home isolation or isolated in the COVID Care Centre (both public and private facilities) as appropriate and tested as per ICMR protocol. If positive, they will be continued in COVID Care Centre. If negative, the passenger may be allowed to go home, isoalte and self-monitor for further 7 days. In case, if they develop any symptom, they should inform the district surveillance or the State or National call centre.
