Mentally ill man lives with body of father for days

In yet another shocking incident, the Penamaluru police in Vijayawada on Sunday found a mentally unsound man next to his father's decomposing body. The police broke into the house on a complaint of 'foul smell' from the neighbours.

Reportedly, the 70-year-old man had died a few days ago at his residence in Kanuru in Shiridi Nagar and his son was just sitting next to the body.

The deceased's son was reportedly performing rituals to ‘wake’ his father up. The body of the man was handed over to his relatives after postmortem.
