In a shocking case being reported from Bihar, maoists gunned down a soldier of the Shasatra Seema Bal (SSB). The soldier has been identified as Sikander Yadav from the SSB’s 48th battalion based in Bihar.

Yadav was on leave and had come to his home to celebrate his daughter's birthday. According to a Times of India report, two maoists, dressed in police uniform turned up at his house. He was dragged away at gunpoint by at least 20 maoists. He was later shot multiple times outside his house, police said.

“Sikander Yadav was killed while he and his family were celebrating his daughter’s fourth birthday,” said police

Eyewitnesses in the area claim that there were women rebels too in the group. While assaulting the soldier, the maoists accused him of being a "police informer" and shouted that they were "punishing" him.

After firing multiple shots and killing the soldier, the maoists fled to a nearby forest area.
