A 73-year-old passenger was removed from a train after carrying a ticket dated for 3013. Vishnu Kant Shukla had boarded the Himgiri Express at Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh in 2013.
When the ticket checker came to examine his ticket, it was found that the man was issued a ticket for 1000 years in the future. Instead of being considerate, the ticket checker had Shukla forcibly removed from the train.
Reportedly, the journey was important for Shukla as he was visiting his friend whose wife had expired. Shukla reportedly filed a case against the Railways at the consumer court. On Tuesday, the court fined the Railways Rs 10,000 for the harassment and an addition Rs 3,000.
